HOUSE LEAGUE CONVENORS NEEDED

As a convenor, your commitment begins prior to the season assisting in “drafting” of teams and then providing your coaches with their team lists, goalie equipment and jerseys. Once the season begins, your commitment is on game night. You are required to attend the games for your division to ensure the games run smoothly and that the refs and time keepers are paid. A convenor is a very important role which requires good organizational skills. You will work closely with the Director of your division who will be there to answer any and all questions and assist when required. 

As a convenor, you will be given a $50 rebate once all of your commitments have been met. (Shortly after Championship Day)

As a house league coach, your commitment is 2 hours per week (one practice/one game).  If you're worried about not having enough experience, Whitby Minor Lacrosse offers a coaches clinic and sample practice plan for your use through our Technical Director.  You will quickly learn that coaching lacrosse is the next best thing to playing lacrosse.  Our goal is to foster a positive atmosphere where all kids can enjoy this great game.  Coaches are viewed as teachers, mentors, role models, friends, and as leaders in the community.
